In 1873, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, located just east of the small village of Sioux Falls, was the largest non-denominational cemetery in the region. Spanning fifty acres of rolling hills and trees, it holds the graves of some of the most significant figures from early Sioux Falls and beyond, as well as some of the most infamous. Stroll through and explore the history of a small prairie town that evolved into one of the most vibrant and thriving cities in the Northern Plains.
